ACB MOTIVATES YOUTHS IN LILONGWE, RUMPHI AND KARONGA DISTRICTS TO DESIST FROM CORRUPTION AND ACT WITH INTEGRITY

In July 2022, the Public Education Department of the  Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), conducted twenty-nine (29) anti-corruption motivational talks to in- and out-of-school youths from secondary schools and youth clubs in Lilongwe, Rumphi and Karonga.

The activity aimed at instilling a culture of honesty and integrity among the youths. Apart from this, the youths were also enlightened on their role in preventing corruption in Malawi in accordance with the National Anti-Corruption Strategy (NACS II). 7369 youths were reached with anti-corruption messages through the motivational talks.

The targeted schools and youth clubs included: Chikwawa CDSS, Bolero Day Secondary School, Chisomo Private, Nyika Private, Chankhomi CDSS, Peak Private, Rumphi Urban Youth Hub, Mwalweni Youth Network, Njukura Youth Network & Nkhamanga Youth Network in Rumphi; Maghemo Secondary School, Karonga Girls Secondary School and Mwenilondo Secondary School in Karonga; Chisomo Private, Henriz Private, Athens 4 Private, Charismatic Private, Kawele Private, Nazarene Private, New Version Private, Dzuka Private, Athens 3 Private, Palm Tree Private, Dzenza Mission Girls Private, Dzenza Mission CDSS, Dzenza Open Sec School, International Christian Academy (ICA), Girls Shine and Atsikana Paulendo Private Secondary School in Lilongwe.
